The beginning of the course really opened my eyes to the simplicity of the piano layout, but as I've progressed I realize simplicity can be complex. I can play the chords at a basic level and keeping time okay, but I keep hearing statements referencing things I should be playing now which is not happening for me yet. I don't understand all the little adds you play in between a C, E, G or F, A, C, etc. and the speed of demonstration (the playing part) is fast and difficult to keep up with. I love music and have an ear for it, but physically connecting my brain to the keys will take some time and practice. If I was asked for suggestions, I would say two things. 1) keep it elementary and take time to show what the keys are that make up the fill in tricks or whatever is correct reference; not overwhelm me with where I'm not. 2) keep your vocal teaching on point and allow us to focus on the lesson of the moment. In other words, sometimes I feel like I'm listening to a math teacher talking about math and what it will be like in Algebra II and Calculus, while I'm still in the first 3 weeks of Algebra I. With that said, I am very glad I took this course as I've learned a lot, but also learned a lot about what I need to do to improve with my skills, muscle memory, and dig deeper into how to play in between the 1 1 4 1 1 1 5 5 of a song chart. I'll try to put together a couple of short demo's of how I am playing and you can review me if you'd like. Thank you.

Read MoreI'm amazed that I'm playing AND singing along to a song within thirty minutes of starting the program! I'm sold. I can't believe how easy this system is to understand and put into practice. Wow... I've never played piano before and I'm so blown that I'm already playing. Sure, it's simple, but that's the beauty of it! I didn't need hours, days, weeks, months, or years of theory and practice. I was playing and understanding the materials presented within 30 minutes! I'm so excited to learn more! Thanks, Matt! I recorded myself playing and you can even hear my wife singing along in the background. Looking forward to whatever's next!
